GIS511: Vegetation changes from patch burning grazed pastures, sampling plots: Canopy cover was recorded in 20 circular 10 m2 plots in pastures seasonally grazed by cattle. Each unit consisted of three pastures, one which was burned and two that were not burned. The burn was rotated so that each pasture was burned every third year. The three pasture unit was stocked with cow/calf pairs from approximately 1 May until 1 Oct at a stocking density equal to 3.2 ha per cow/calf. This dataset represents the plots. This data may be used in conjunction with the Vegetation changes from patch burning grazed pastures (PBGXX) datasets for spatially explicit analyses of these data.
